Every new student enrolled for the first time in a Bachelor's or Master's study programme or a participant in an online study programme at IU International University of Applied Sciences, with a home address in the European Union, receives an iPad (WiFi-enabled, Bluetooth) for free use for the entire duration of their studies. Participants in IU FlexLearning, company training programmes, special programmes and special forms of cooperation are excluded. Participants without a home address in the European Union can receive the iPad, provided they leave a home address within the European Union. There are separate costs for data transmission. Depending on actual availability from Apple, the iPad will be delivered by our external service provider shortly after the start of your study programme. In the event of delivery delays by Apple, delivery will be delayed accordingly. The iPad remains the property of the service provider throughout the duration of the online study contract. If the student fulfils their online study contract in accordance with the provisions of the contract and successfully completes his/her studies, ownership of the iPad shall pass to the student at the scheduled end of their online study contract.
In the event of a premature termination of the online study contract (e.g. through cancellation by one party, or for other reasons), the student must return the iPad in working order within one week of termination. The return shipment shall be at the student's expense and handled by a carrier appointed by the external service provider. In the event of any technical defect, the replacement of (rechargeable) batteries or in the event of any technical questions, the handling of these matters shall be carried out via the external service provider. Cancellation
After your enrolment, you can test our online study programme for four weeks free of charge and without obligation. During this time, all IU offers and services are available to you. If the online study programme with us is not right for you, you can cancel it free of charge within these four weeks. If you like your studies, you simply continue studying after the test phase. In this case, your first month is considered a regular study period and is subject to a fee. You will only be charged this fee after the end of the trial period.
If you wish to terminate your contract after the trial period and within the first semester, you can find your exact period of notice in the terms and conditions of your contract. From the second semester onwards, you can terminate your contract with three months’ notice (to the end of a full month calculating from the start of the contract).
